Eleanor Skillen

Kindness is at the core of the Skillen Elementary community, and is central to the ways staff and students interact with each other and the Bean Creek neighborhood at large, where Skillen has called home for more than 120 years. School leaders credit the spirit of trust in the school's improvements in areas of Belonging, School Climate, and Staff-Leader Relationships. And kindness really counts at Skillen—the school's kindness tracker reports 2,000 acts of kindness per year by its staff and students!
